2007 Chevrolet Silverado tire air pressure sensor

The tire air pressure sensor says to have it serviced, what exactly does that intail and does it have to be done by a chevrolet dealer or could I service it my self. Also I am wondering approx. What would it cost.

IT MAY SIMPLY MEAN YOU NEED TO UP YOUR AIR PRESSURE

YOU MAY HAVE A NAIL OR SCREW OR ETC IN A TIRE

THERE ARE BATTERY OPERATED SENSORS THAT ATTACH TO THE VALVE STEM (INSIDE THE TIRE). THEY SENSE LOW PRESSURE AND SOMETIMES THEY JUST GO BAD!

ANY "MODERNISED" TIRE SHOP SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE THIS

. THUS AVOIDING THE HIGH PRICES OF A STEALERSHIP
