Engine noise

Have a 2007 lumina sedan v8 6.0 ss engine is quiet on initial startup after 20 seconds hollow ticking noise is emited from rhs bank of engine very hollow low frequency noise and continues for approximately 45 seconds, then goes away until the next day when engine is started from cold.

Could be some lifter noise. I couldn't really tell you for sure without inspecting the engine myself. Sometimes a lifter fails, sometimes sludge builds up in the motor.

Problem is, there's not much to do if this is the case other than an engine rebuild.
