They are not going to be related codes as the B code is for the HVAC system and if you are not having an issue with the HVAC system then this is most likely an old code as it will not cause the engine light to come on.

I suspect you have a check engine light on, so we need to address the EVAP code.

More than likely you have a stuck vent solenoid but let's run through the testing below and figure out what the issue is and go from there.
