Service brake assist light - grinding?

Went to go to drive it the other day, and it was grinding. I was hoping to get a price range on brake assist issues and how to change them.

Sure, here is the labor time for the brake pads and rotors

Front Pads and rotor - 1.3 HRS @ shop rate.
