I was driving home, car started making a soft screeching noise, a minute later the screeching got ALOT louder, gas pedal stopped working, the engine was still running but car came to a slow stop. When I tired to restart the car, it sounds like it's about to start, but never completly turns on. I checked the fan belt, completely fine. Also my oil pressure light turned on yesterday. Gas tank is full

Check under the hood and look at the throttle cables and see if one came loose and got tangled up in any pulley when the car was running. If you can get the cable back on put some w-d 40 on to loosen it up. That is where I would start.

Did not see the oil light come on. Check between the thottle cable and the oil pressure light to see if anything got tightened up on a pulley. Also check and make sure they are not grounding out. If the engine makes any knocking sound I would get it to a garage and have it checked out.
