Sometimes it runs perfect and sometimes it backfires

2005 toyota quantum refuse to rev up and sometimes backfire and also struggles to start. Done a diagnostic and only fault was a cam sensor which I replaced but problems still there

After replcement of the camsensor, is the trouble code still the same?

Yes trouble code still the same. Did check wiring.
The exact trouble says cam sensor
petrol engine 2.7
