I got a JDM replacement engine and went to swap it out. . Is it really as simple as tapping the port? I've read a few online posts about being able to just drill out the hole and tap it for the EGR output into the intake manifold but none were for the same year car i have. I guess all JDM cars are EGR valve/sensor free, so is the only difference that the USD engines have been bored and the JDM ones have not been? Thanks.

did you ASK JDM about this? They should provide you with a compatible engine.
