A running motor noise started at the very back of the van upon start up. It stops after a few seconds. I took the van in and was the the pump was out and that my struts and shocks are really bad. I was told to replace the rear sets and pump and also it was recommended to replace the front. This estimate was $2500.
Does this sounds reasonable?

Depends check around on prices locally as they vary if you do it yourself try gmpartsdirect. Com don't forget they are making a profit on parts as well as labor

Thank you so much! My husband wants to get a second opinion before we do anything. I guess I will check out the website for pricing to use as a comparison. Isn't there also a site that can tell you how much repairs should cost?

I'm sure if you look around you might, we used to be able to do that but that area was taken away from us. Prices can vary anyhow depending on where you are located.
