I am blowing white smoke, the truck has hardly any power, I can maybe go like 5 mph. The PCV hose isn't the right one but it has worked thus far and I have never had the EGR valve checked. The vehicle just lost power and started spitting white smoke when I was on the highway the other day. It appears that there is a lot of oil or some form of fluid around the oil filter. I was a little past my oil change, could a used up or bad oil filter cause any of these issues?

No not really it sounds more like you've blown a head gasket so have the coolant system pressure checked then scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent the gauge. The white smoke is an indicator of a blown head gasket or cracked head etc. Because heads are aluminum and iron blocks the heads move so it's harder on gaskets.
