Good day, I have a 2005 land rover 2 TD5 which will not reverse on a incline or will struggle to do so, even if it is just a small incline it will not make it.I tried bringin up the revs then releasing the brake to get more power but it just does not want to move uphill. The gears change perfectly and I do not have a problem moving forward although for the turbo lag when pulling away from a still stand.

This will be an internal problem with the transmission, may be a internal pressure problem with a servo, this should be inspected by a transmission specialist, there is nothing that you can do your self with this problem as there is a number of special tools and test equipment required.
