I have code P0351 and a rough idle on a 2005 Ford Taurus with the 3.0 Vulcan OHV engine. I’m getting no spark on cylinders 1&5 Have replaced ignition coil, plugs and wires with Motorcraft parts and no change. I’m getting 12volts to the supply wire on the coil for cylinders 1&5 when running. Thinking I may have a PCM issue but not sure.

I would check the wiring from the coil tot he PCM before replacing the PCM.

P0351 - Ignition Coil "A" Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

Here is a guide to help you with the testing and the wiring diagrams for the coil and PCM so you can see which wires to test.

Thanks Ken. I have voltage to all 3 wires at the coil connector when running. Is it possible to have issues with the PCM if I’m seeing voltage using a test light at the coil signal wires(pins 1, 2, 3 pictured below)when running?
Thanks again.

So those circuits close to ground it trigger the coil. If the test light is connected to power and then crank the engine over the test light should flash.
