Car will stop on own like brakes are being applied

2005 chevy equinox brakes get hard if I let foot of gas pedal the car will stop on own like brakes are being applied by them self after driving for a little distance brake will get tight like they are being applied on there own sometimes if you turn car off and let sit for a bit the car is normal then after driving for about 15 miles it will start again. There was no lights coming on dash to show any problems. I work for nissan dealer they pulled abs fuse to see if lproblem still occurs and after driving the brake pedal will get very tight but does not force brakes on.

U will need to check for a vacuum leak and the vacuum at the booster.U can rent a gauge at the parts store.

Ok I have changed the brake booster and the brake pedal still gets hard after driving for a few miles what else could cause this problem?

I need to know what the vacuum reading is when your problem happans. Stop throwing parts at it. If the vacuum is low there is no part that will fix it.
