Saturn Vue Red Line, 3.5L V6 Honda motor and Honda 4 speed automatic transmission. At 35 to 40 mph, transmission shifts from a high gear to a low gear, back and forth. Dosen't lock in, RPM'S change around 400, back and forth. Any ideals. Thank You, Richard

Transmission fuild has never changed, someone said Honda said it has to be changed at 100,000 in a Honda transmission. Thank You

No the fluid gets changed every 50,000 miles if its never been changed sounds like the transmission is shot. What color is the fluid?

A 172,000 miles on the original fluid is death to the transmission. I would say the fluid is black like old motor oil.
