2004 Hyundai Accent vibrating noise

My car as a vibrating rattling noise that seems to be on the passenger side rear, what might it be?It sounds like metal rattling but can't see anything just by looking under it. Some say it might be the catltyc converter, some exhaust. So I don't know what else to look for but it is really bothersome when i'm driving and you can hear this vibrating noise continuesly. Please try to help me if at all possible because its driving me crazy to hear this all the time.

It could be a few things. It could be the converter, muffler, heat shield.

Do this. Take a rubber mallet and tap on the system to see if you can reproduce the sound. If you can, try to locate where it is coming from. Keep in mind, it is common for the heat shields on the converter to come loose and rattle. Also, the inside of the converter or muffler could have come loose. That can't be seen, but you can locate it by tapping on the exhaust system with a rubber mallet.
