Vehicle stalls, mechanic replaced fuel pump, now states it is the fuel pump relay. However, mechanic also states that the fuel pump relay is built internally to the Central Junction Box and cannot be serviced, the complete junction box needs to be replaced. Is this true? If not does anyone know where the fuel pump relay is? Owner manual shows location of fuel pump fuse, 20A fuse but states nothing about a fuel pump relay. Vehicle will now not start at all.

What the mechanic tells you is true, it's around $300 for a new fuse box. In pic is a way to go around it if mechanic wants to do this to save some dollars. It will give you it's own relay instead of in the motherboard.

Thank-you, I think I may have located a central junction box for $125, just have to make sure it is the right one. Wish I knew what model years would work together, such as 2001 thru 2004 etc.

Hi, the fuel pump relay is replaceable. It is located behind the radio in a junction box to your lower left. The turn signal flasher is also in this box (blue relay).

USER NOTES At least on the 2004 excursion with the v10 it's integrated into the fuse panel below the steering column

Are you referring to the 2004 Ford Excursion V-10? As I checked there and could not locate a junction box.
