2004 Chevrolet Silverado overheating

Sounds like your water pump impeller is gone

I agree. With the engine running and warmed up feel the upper radiator hose and bottom radiator hose. They both should be hot. If not the thermostat is not opening to allow coolant flow or the water pump is not circulating coolant.
