When I park my 2004 BMW 325CI, ignition off I can hear a faint sound like a fan at very low speed. As per Google tips I checked and removed the final stage resistor assembly, the noise did not go away. With some experimentation I removed fuse # 26 red 7.5 amps an the noise stops I put it back everything stayed quiet until I turned on the ignition again. That helped I had no more dead battery but it's a pain in the b--t I can't keep doing this forever. What do you think can cause that

It might be something in the garage door opener or the circuitry in the general module, which is the transmitter source for the GDO. I looked in Alldata for something that seemed like it could be the culprit, and there really wasn't anything there. The general module might be a place to start looking, the fact that it is the "gateway" module for many operations makes it suspect. A short test with the proprietary scan tool from BMW would certainly be helpful in finding the issue, perhaps setting an appointment with your BMW service provider would be enlightening.
