Basically can't switch between vents?

I have a 03 oldsmobile alero 6Cyl, and I recently installed a new ignition on there I removed the center bezel to work, taking out the radio and ac/heat control switches (three knobs low to high, temp, and vents, when I put the vent control plugin on the back on the control knob all back in well I know I got it all wrong, but it does blow on my foot vent right now, everything else is fine just cant switch knobs. Lol. Wondering how it goes back together correctly, If u can help be great, Takes a minute to cool off in my car and I have a 18 month lil girl. Thx. Kimo

It the plugin to the back of the control knob, I got the assembly of it all wrong

They are not supposed to come apart like that, I would get a used controller from Ebay.
