The vent controls stopped working recently

The vent controls stopped working recently. The air only comes out of the "body facing" vents, and won't switch to either the floor or windshield defrost options. The heat and A/C work just fine, but it can't be directed to anywhere other than blowing out right in the front passenger's faces. The knob does not feel like it is loose or broken in it's socket, but there is no change when you turn the dial. I appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks.

Check your actuator i have pointed out one is for heat the other for direction.

They are on the drivers side.

Here is a guide that will help you see what you are in for when doing the repair.

Please let me know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

I look at this picture and I can not tell if the mode actuator is on the passenger or drivers side.

That makes a biog difference to know what side to take apart.
