The vent controls stopped working recently

The vent controls stopped working recently. The air only comes out of the "body facing" vents, and won't switch to either the floor or windshield defrost options. The heat and A/C work just fine, but it can't be directed to anywhere other than blowing out right in the front passenger's faces. The knob does not feel like it is loose or broken in it's socket, but there is no change when you turn the dial. I appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks.

Check your actuator i have pointed out one is for heat the other for direction. The mode actuator is on the passengers side right side of the heater plenum.

They are on the drivers side.

Here is a guide that will help you see what you are in for when doing the repair.

Please let me know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

I look at this picture and I see the mode actuator in the diagram but its tough to see in the car so I removed the glove box door that helped to get the unit replaced. All good now thanks for your help. I love this site.
