2003 gmc yukon xl denali. I occasionally get an error code for throttle position sensor and the vehicle runs at reduced engine power. This usually only lasts a short time and only happens about once every 3 or 4 months. I know that this year the throttle position sensor is part of the throttle body. The dealer suggests that you should also change the connector. Should I just try changing the connector first before buying a throttle body? I will be doing the work myself. The only reason I am thinking that is it seems to be a short somewhere since it dosent happen consistetly

I have the same problem so if you hear of anything let me know. I have 142000 on mine. I can crank it and drive and it comes on and the I park turn off and it's off and tays off for 1-2 days or 3-4 weeks. No certain time as I also think that it is a short and thinking about replacing just the sensor which costs about $35.00. Thanks and good luck
