I hope it will help. You can also go to AutoZone. Com and register for free and go to the link for repair manual, then click on brakes, then click on control module it will give you direction on how to remove the EBCM module. I looked it up and the instructions are there.

There are four screws that hold it to the hydraulic unit that should not be re-used.

Can you get a few pictures of the box and where it is located on the vehicle? I will be able to help you better that way.

Probably a bad ABS module.

One of the screws that hold it to the frame? Or if ones in picture try prying up with a screwdriver and unscrewing at the same time. Lot of times they come out with that.

The ABS and Traction Control lights came on at the same time. I took it to the repair shop and they said it would be cheaper to pull the module and send it to Salt Lake to have it rebuilt. That was okay with me! After installing the rebuilt module the TCS light remained on. The mechanic is saying something about a wrong code and has been attempting to have a conversation with the shop that did the rebuild. Can you tell me what the real problem might be? I am not very trusting of car repair shops.

When an ABS unit fails it automatically cuts off traction control. What your mechanic is telling you is the re-builder may have messed something up and it effecting traction control only. So he is trying to get a fix for it as it may be a software problem and seeing if the re-builder has the software to fix your problem or so the code will be eliminated. Give it some time the mechanic would not release the car if it were dangerous to drive.
