Car Door Lock

My cars lock motor is making a noise when i try to lock it...it will unlock but wont lock. Its not the motor, i just put a new lock motor in. Just wondering what this might be.

Can you describe the sound it is making and where the sound is coming from?

It was like the motor was rotating but nothing happened. I got that to stop and now my driver door will lock and unlock all the other doors but will only lock/unlock the driver door randomly

Okay... You need to check the solenoid that locks the door. Here is a how to for checking. Check it and let me know what you find.
