4WD selector switch not lighting up or working

I had recently had my truck in 4wd and then when switching out of 4wd to 2wd it blinked a few times and then stopped working all together and know it is stuck in 4wd. How do I get it out of 4wd and how do I know if its the transfer case control module or some other electrical problem.

More than likely this is an issue with the encoder motor.

The thing we need to do is check the voltage at the encoder to find out if when you are switching from 2WD to 4WD the correct voltage signal is being sent to the encoder.

If it is then the encoder is the issue.

I am attaching the wiring diagram below; however, I suspect you will find the encoder is the issue.
