I have a 2003 Impala LS 3.8L v6, I recently had an after market Alpine stereo installed and now my warning chime is excessively loud. Just wondering if there is a way to adjust it or reprogram it?

in the owner's manual it tells me how to adjust it, but thats for the stock deck which isn't installed anymore

It is louder since the aftermarket stereo was installed? I'd talk to the installer. Check the wiring for the chime.

Another thought, you might be able to use a resistor on the voltage or ground for chime, just to see if it will lessen the noise. Don't know proper size, have to experiment.
