The car starts for 3 seconds. Then shuts off. Saying starter disabled remove key. My battery keeps getting drained by some then staying on in the car. They say it could be the key or even the ignition switch. All I no it got towed. Was running before that. Then when picked up from impond. It stopped working and has been like that ever since. Please can you help

The system cant be bypassed as far as I know. The only flaw is if there is a remote starter installed in vehicle, this can make it stealable.

If the codes are current u cant clear them until the fault is fixed. Youll need a obd2 scanner to read the codes and replace the parts so you can clear them.I would remove and clean the cable ends. Load test the battery. If its turning over try spraying fluid in the throttle body does it start?

The security light flashes like it should then goes out like it should, but when you unlock the door and try to start the car it will not. It is the key with a chip in it and has been checked by the dealer and is okay. What can I do to start my car?

When you unlock the door, and try to start the car, what is the security light doing? If it is on, there is a security system fault. If it is off, has it been determined if there is a signal reaching the starter. Could it just be a bad starter, or something in the start circuit?

Enter diagnostics and read/report the trouble codes. You can accomplish this by pressing and holding 'INFO' in the up position, and the ON/OFF button at the same time. After a brief period of segment illumination, it will display ALL, on the info center. Press ON/OFF and it will display ALL CODES, press ON/OFF to select. Record the codes, we are particularily interested in VTD codes, and PCM codes.

I have a 2000 Cadillac DHS 4.6 engine with 56,000 miles. The keyless remotes and the memory seats fail to operate correctly. Some time they open the doors and sometime they don’t. The memory seats only work with remote access but that only works some times. I take it to a mechanic that charges me $35 to reprogram them but its not long before it dosn't work again. Can you tell me why I need to reprogram them so many times and can you tell me how to reprogram the remotes and memory seats on my own?

Thank you,
Mitch

Did you replace the batteries? And you need a tech 2 to reprogram the key fobs, your fobs control the memory seats, fob 1 is for driver 1 and 2 etc.

Try batteries first and then new fobs
