Crank sensor

I took car to a repair place they told me that my crank sensor was bad but I would have to replace the entire motor to get the part. I drive a 2002 toyota solara is this true or can I do something else?

Changing the CPS requires engine replacement I don't think so-find it and replace the CPS-enough of this fairy tales

Which engine do you have?

Replacement of crank sensors do not require engines to be removed or replaced.

Get a second opinion.
