When I start my 2002 camry in the morning I put car in reverse and it makes a loud squeaking sound and hesitates as I put it into drive once warm it's fine what is the cause of this

Can you get code read? Was light on before squeak problem started?

Yes engine lite was on they said it was Cadillac co. Verter

And the mechanic said might just need to be cleaned out not new Cadillac converter but its been real cold last couple of days that's when sound started
