Hello everyone, my radio comes on but there is no sound at all whatsoever. Now I am trying to diagnose this problem. I have been looking online and I came across a few things and one in particular is that the two orange wires under the rear passenger side floor was said to be corroded. I checked that problem out and re-wired everything and still no sound. Now I looked in the back of my trunk to look for amplifier and I do not see one there I see the wires hanging but there is no amplifier. Does the car need an amplifier in order for the speakers to work?

It would depend on which option package your car has if it has an amplifier or not. Did the radio work before this or did you just buy the car and it did not work? Which stereo do you have?

When I first bought the car the car came with the original radio and it didn't work at all in fact the radio was locked so I'm assuming that they might have took in that radio from another car and once we put into that car in locked up now I'm trying to put in a radio with a CD player a aftermarket radio and it's not working at all well the radio is working but there's no sound

OK, they may have removed the stock radio and amp and had a non stock unit in there with an after-market amp installed. The wiring diagrams for the stereo with an amp and without plus the speaker wire colors is below. With them you should be able to test and see if you have signal at the amp connections in the rear and how to bypass the connector and get sound.
