I am currently in Thailand and have a 2002 Honda CRV SUV. Normally, when I press the lock/unlock buttons on the fob the hazard lights flash and the horn bleeps (once for lock, twice for unlock). There is also an indicator light that flashes continually on lock to confirm the alarm is activated. After disabling the alarm and opening a door the other day I accidentally pressed one of the buttons on the fob and the alarm (horn and hazards) went off. Pressing one of the buttons turned the alarm off but now I don't get any horn when locking or unlocking using the fob. The doors still lock/unlock remotely and the hazards still flash (as does the dashboard light) to indicate the alarm is activating/de-activating. It's just the horn that appears to not be working. I've been told I've somehow disabled the horn and there's a sequence to press the fob buttons to re-enable it described in a manual. The problem is, the only manual I have is written in the THAI language, which I can't read, and I can't find an English language version anywhere. I find the horn sound very useful to confirm that I've locked and alarmed the car. Is there any way you can help please?

Try reprogramming the key first

KEYLESS ENTRY PROGRAMMING
Have all remotes for the vehicle on hand.
Make sure all the doors and rear hatch/trunk are closed during programming.
Only use 1 remote to get through step 9, have all remotes on hand to use for step #10 Each step must be completed within 5 seconds of starting that step.
1. Sit in the car with all doors and rear hatch tightly closed
2. Turn the key to the ON position, marked by “II” on the ignition bezel so the dash lights come on, then within 5 seconds press the “Lock” button on the remote for 1 second or so and release the button.
3. Turn the key to the OFF position, marked by “I” on the ignition bezel dash lights go off.
4. Turn the key to the ON position, marked by “II” on the ignition bezel so the dash lights come on, then within 5 seconds press the “Lock” button on the remote for 1 second or so and release the button.
5. Turn the key to the OFF position, marked by “I” on the ignition bezel dash lights go off.
6. Turn the key to the ON position, marked by “II” on the ignition bezel so the dash lights come on, then within 5 seconds press the “Lock” button on the remote for 1 second or so and release the button.
7. Turn the key to the OFF position, marked by “I” on the ignition bezel dash lights go off.
8. Turn the key to the ON position, marked by “II” on the ignition bezel so the dash lights come on, then within 5 seconds press the “Lock” button on the remote for 1 second or so and release the button.
9. The locks will make a cycling sound (clunk), locks will NOT lock or unlock at this point, they will just make a noise.
The system is now in programming mode. Do not turn the key off.
10. Within 5 seconds of entering programming mode and within 5 seconds of each other, press the lock button ON EACH remote you are programming, for a second or so and release. This step needs to be completed within 10 seconds. Each time a remote button is pushed, the locks should cycle. Up to 3 remotes can be programmed.
11. Turn ignition completely off and remove the key. Step out of car and close door. The remotes should be programmed and should work. If you have a trunk/hatch release, the button for this feature needs to be held for a few seconds before the trunk/hatch will “pop”.
