My husband and I have noticed that our car is starting to shake at idle after driving the car for a few hours, but not constantly, just shopping from place to place. We just bought the car, and when we bought the car we had a problem with the check engine light going on after the cars engin spazed out and started to shake, but the after we turned the car off and turned it back on it was fine. The car drives fine, but as soon as we go to stop for a light it idles rough and shakes like the engine is going to die on us. We had the check engine light thing looked at and the guy said it was cylinder six misfireing, what could cause this?

Alot fo things can cause it. Low fuel pressure, a bad spark plug, bad plug wire, bad injector, etc. Low compression. Have the engine scanned and check resistance in plug wires for that cylinder also check fuel pressure. With the key on and engine off it shoud be 30-55 psi with engine running it should be 26-45 psi

Thank you, we are planing on taking the car in to be serviced soon. We were thinking it could be an overheating issue as well, but we are not mechanical by any means! Also, is it nornal for the blower motor, when bad, for it, when we run the heat to reve the engine? This has also been an issue for us.

The blower motor could do that because it would need to pull more amps, but not necessarily so. It may be because it's not cold enough where you are and the ac is kicking on which it's supposed to do so that is what makes the engine rev alittle higher. Hope you got theis car for cheap.
