My neighbor/friend is taking me thru replacing the head gasket. We didnt set the motor in a specific position before the teardown began. I had the heads sent out, i've replaced the oil pump, water pump, timimng chains will be new, with new guides, and the starter. My neighbor believes the no.1 piston needs to be up to set the timing marks. I don't see that being possible. I bought a Hayne manual and I cant find that anywhere, so I'm waitng to hear from you. Thanks in advance !
