I need to find which fuse will turn off the dash board light temporarily for the emergency brake light on a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. I just need to temporarily pull the fuse that will turn off the emergency-brake light on the dash-board. I have to take it in for emissions testing, and they won't test it with that light showing. Thank you.

To temporarily turn off the emergency brake light on the dashboard of your 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, you can locate and remove the fuse that controls the instrument cluster or dashboard lights. However, it's important to note that removing this fuse will also disable other dashboard lights, so exercise caution while driving and remember to restore the fuse afterward. Here's how you can do it:

Locate the fuse box: The fuse box in the 2002 Chevy Trailblazer is typically located under the hood, in the engine compartment. Consult your owner's manual for the precise location.

Identify the fuse: Look for the fuse labeled "Instrument Cluster, " "Dashboard Lights, " or a similar description. Refer to the fuse diagram on the fuse box cover or in the owner's manual to find the specific fuse.

Remove the fuse: Once you have identified the correct fuse, use a fuse puller tool or a pair of needle-nose pliers to carefully remove the fuse from its socket.

Verify the light is off: Start the vehicle and check if the emergency brake light on the dashboard is no longer illuminated. If the light is off, you have successfully disabled it temporarily. However, keep in mind that other dashboard lights may also be off.

Reinstall the fuse: Once you have completed the emissions testing or any necessary repairs, make sure to reinstall the fuse back into its original position. This will restore power to the instrument cluster and dashboard lights.

Remember that removing the fuse for the instrument cluster or dashboard lights will disable other warning lights as well, which may impact your ability to monitor important vehicle functions. It is advisable to restore the fuse as soon as possible after the emissions testing to ensure all the necessary lights are operational.

It's a long story. I am required to take my vehicle in for an emissions test, and the testing station will not run it through their station because my brake light and ABS warning lights are on. Those are on because the computer module running the ABS system went bad, and my mychanic said a new one would cost $800, or he could just leave it out of the system until I can afford to have it replaced, with the consequences being the warning lights showing on the dashboard. The emissions testing station said if the lights disappeared, they would test my vehicle, with the hint from them being to just pull the fuse during the time they would be testing it. Except for the ABS system not working, the brakes work fine.

The problem here is when there is a issue with the abs including pulling the abs fuse light comes on and stays on. Do you have a 2 wheel drive with four wheel disc with or without traction control?Or 4 wheel drive 4 wheel disc brake with or without traction control. Or 4 wheel drive with 4 wheel disc ext model 2 wheel drive with 4 wheel disc without traction control. Iam trying to figure out which abs computer you habe the prices I see are 336.79 537.79 or 627.79 depending on your options.
