Car wont start

Bmw 318ti compact wont start turn key and just a ticking noise tried to jump start still no joy. Please help

I strongly recommend against EVER jump starting a BMW vehicle. Remove the battery and have it charged, if it will not take a charge, replace it and then check the charging system.
