I have a 2001 Jetta, 2.0 front wheel drive. What are the normal RPMs while going 60 MPH?

Are you having an RPM problem? Too many? Might be a good question for vw service dept. Do you have stick or auto trans?

I have 'adjusted' the rpms om my own vehicle by changing tire size to the largest that would not interfere with car body. I dropped my rpm's by 500 at 60. You didn't state why you were inquiring about rpms? Unless you suspect transmission is not going into final drive?Which is converter lockup on my GM van.

While I cant speak for that car in particular I do know 3000 is a very common highway rpm for 4cyl cars. And some v6s too.
