2001vw beetl 2.0

Hello I have a 2001 beetle 2.0 I just started to have this problem I start my car drive for an hour or more car run smooth stop 10 or 15 min later get back in car won't start? Turns over but does not start after 15 min of turning the car over it starts and runs fine almost seems it is not getting fuel can you help oh my check engine light goes on and off as well drive for 200 mile goes on then goes off I had a new sensor put in a year ago and a new cataleptic converter any ideas thank you
