How do I replace my ignition cylinder in my 2001 toyota camry. I've gotten all the trim off, and inserted my key and turned it to the acc setting. I then inserted something to push the button underneath. But when I try to pull the cylinder out, nothing budges. Am I missing something?

Information for removal is not found in our database so I don't know if you have missed anything.
Based on peraonal experience, the key interlock switch has to be removed first.

There is a plastic ring that sits on the edge of the cylinder. Its only function is to light up when the door is opened to show you where the ignition is in the dark.
Once I removed the one screw holding that in, the cylinder came out with no problems.
