Stalls at idle

Car drives for a while until I stop at a light, then stalls out and won't restart. After it sits for a couple hours, it starts again. Scan codes: P0102 MAF sensor always shows up. Now P0727 speed sensor and P1780 man. Control transmission codes are showing up. Will a new mass airflow sensor correct my problem?

That's still to be determined. The code only tells you of a particular situation that occurred in the MAF circuit. Now you have to troubleshoot why.

Shop scanned and ohms were way below. Bad MAF - my question is: will a bad mas stop the car from starting and cause it to stall at idle?

That's not a normal symptom of a bad MAF bu it could happen.
