2001 Saturn L200 turn signals

When I turn the left or right signal on it will flash 2/3 times then goes off before I make any turns

So the switch itself moves back to the off position?

No, the switch stays engaged, but the indicator lights goes off and signals quit working

It sounds like a bad turn signal flasher relay fairly common on those cars. The relay is part of the Hazzard switch. Does the hazzard switch ever buzz with the turn signals on?

I have seen them do that when they go bad my money would be on a bad flasher relay.
