2001 Pontiac Montana Will not start

When fueling the gas wouldn't go in pump kept shutting off, I ran out of gas 2 times, the second in front of my house, after putting 5 dollars in it. It wouldn't turn on, My mech friend said he couldn't her the fuel pump being primed. So I bought new fuel pump, it wouldn't start, buy relay for it and still nothing. Still cant her pump being primed and of course not starting, Can anybody help? Please Mech said he cant figure it out. It has power to relay.

Check gray wire leading to pump see if it is getting power it may be a relay problem. Also try resetting your security system. That can cause fuel pump not to run. In your case it may be the key is bad so if you have another key try that. Or if that doesn't work follow instructions on pic. Then check all fuses under hood fuse box.

If relay is good you might try tweaking the prongs so it gets better connection in fuse box. Also try dielectric compound on the prongs. Other than that if gray wire going to pump doesn't get power then it wil never start. Running without fuel is like making a pump freeze up.

The fuel pump is new so is the relay.

Try cleaning the ground on the block from battery and make sure both terminals are clean at battery seen some of these not start or no pump pressure because of that. Other than that have apro look at it as I'm out of ideas.
