We have this car that will only run on OBDII scan tool. Took it to the mechanic where they took out the after market alarm and they took off the GPS tracker that a company installed.

The company who installed the tracker refuses to come out and tell the mechanic what they did. Since the tracker is out we are still having the same problem of it not starting.

We have no idea where else to look or what to do and we are at a loss.

Such symptoms usually are due to a PCM fault.

Did I mention that the heat will be on full blast with out the OBD connected to it while the car is turn on. Whent he OBD is plugged in the heat will not work but the car will run.

I figured if it was a computer it wouldn't run at all.

It is either the PCM or its ground circuit connections.

A faulty PCM can result in some system not grounding and it is now using the scan tool to ground the circuit.
