This Is My Wife's Car. Just Recharged The A/c The Other Day While She Was Out It Stopped Working No Cold Air. She Pulled Into A Shop That Her Friend Goes To And They Said The Compressor Wasn't Coming On They By Passed It And Jumped The Compressor And Again Cold Air She Was Told High Pressure Switch is Bad To Go Home And Make Sure You Disconnect Jumper Well I Went To Do That And As I Did The System Blew Up Freon Everywhere! My Question Is Do I Need To Replace Everything Now? Looks Like Freon Came From Expansion Valve? Thanks Tom

You are lucky you didn't get hurt first thing. Whee ever it blew up you'll have to fix that as it may be a hose, add oil to the system maybe 4 oz. And then evac and recharge the system.

Yes if you fix it fast enough and don't let it be empty for a week or more otherwise you'll need to replace receiver drier again. When you pump it down do it for 30 minutes
