Engine starts won't run in gear

You will have to do a few basic checks first, check for spark, listen for the fuel pump to operate with the ignition first turned on, feel the injectors, you should feel them click when the engine is cranked over, and try to get a scan done to check for any unresolved fault codes, do this and report any findings for further assistance.
