I have a 2001 ford taurus, when I got in to leave the store it would'nt stay running unless I had the foot peddle down. We just replaced the fuel filter and the fuel pump last october, what could be the problem?

Check the idle control motor, check for vacuum leaks and clean the throttle body, scan for any unresolved fault codes, start here.

Also check the MAF/TPS and the EGR/PCV valves

The hose on the pcv valve develops a leak at the intake and car will not stay running. Taurus design. It is notorious. Check hose for cracks or splits in the hose especially at the elbow of the hose
