2001 Ford Ranger What is this sound?

I'm sure that my alternator has gone out, but I'm not asking a question about that. So I had my neighbor jump my vehicle to see if my alternator was my problem. After we jumped it and I shut off my vehicle there was clicking noise coming from underneath the drivers side dash. Does anyone know what this could be?

You may have spiked some of the electronics in the truck, causing a relay to chatter. It would have to be troubleshooted for any specifics. Jump starting with another vehicle is something that shouldn't be done on today's vehicles. Sever damage can be done to both vehicles.
