I have a 01 silverado 2500hd 6.0 4x4 the truck calles for 245/7/516 tires. When I bought it it came with 285/75/17 I want to go back to the oem size do I have to do anything with the pcm

Nothing should need done. Chances are the speedo is off with the larger size, but sensors don't care how big the tires are as long as they are the same size. DO NOT MIX MATCH TIRE SIZES. THEY NEED TO BE THE SAME SIZE, ESPECIALLY ON A 4X4.
