Car wont start. Everytime I turn the key it makes a rapid clicking noise and the battery is gone dead?

Tow it to the dealer and get out your wallet! You must never let the battery run dead or be disconnected on a Volkswagen. On some models with automatic transmissions, it will not come out of park. Models with the insanely complicated and unnecessary electronic throttle control will not allow an increase in engine speed. On a few models the engine won't even start. The radio will be locked up too. All of these things must be unlocked with a scanner capable of accessing these systems to reprogram "minimum throttle". That will synchronize the accelerator pedal position sensor and the throttle body position sensor. Most aftermarket scanners used by independent repair shops won't work on Volkswagens, and the Volkswagen equipment is very expensive so only the dealer has it. Got'cha.
