Clean the idle air control valve and also check for vacuum leak

Just to add to this one do you have the S model or the LW model?Also what engine do you have?Do you mean it idles at 650 rpms not 6500rpms in gear at idle?

So is the idle rpm a rough 650rpm in gear?If so try putting on the a/c if it works and see if the rpms bump up and the idle smoothes out?As far as cleaning out the idle air control I would just remove it is right there and it will get a batter clean that way.I would also spray and clean its port with some carb spray.
