There is a crack in the high pressure plastic unit on the back side of the motor and coolant is shooting out the crack when the car is cranked. What is the part called, is it hard to replace and is it expensive?

Just to add this one sounds like the nipple on the intake manifold that returns the coolant to the coolant bottle. See if the hose that comes off of it goes to the top of the coolant bottle? Also a pic wouldnt hurt like docfixit suggested its really common for those to break. Bad part is that nipple is part of the plastic intake manifold. So if its that nipple you have two choices replace the whole intake manifold or they sell a repair kit never tried the repair kit. You remove the manifold cut that part off and the repair kit makes it a two piece manifold. The new repair kit is made of metal instead of plastic. You would also have to get a new intake manifold gasket.
