My car is consuming too much fuel compared to the normal mpg value of 21-23. What could be the cause(s), and what should l do to correct this problem. Also the steering wheel vibrates when l step on the brake and the car is on a high speed.
Gas mileage is presently around 14 mpg. And for the brake problem, l have changed the front tire brake pads without the problem stopping

Could be tires/wheel alignment/suspension/transmission problems-also needing a major tune-up

For the brake vibrating during braking, you need to get the rotors turned or replaced.
