2000 Jeep Cherokee last week when started, battery gauge pegged on the high side shut down engine. Later that day restarted everything fine. Now this week unlocked the doors with key fob, when I shut the doors the doors unlocked again like I was pushing the unlock button again but I wasn't, the Jeep then acted normal. I got in it the next day to drive and the battery acted dead. I put the battery charger on it for the rest of the day and then got in to try to start the Jeep. As soon as I opened the door to get in the door locks started locking and unlocking on their own, tried to start and then nothing worked. I've never heard of anything like this happening, what in the world could it be?

LET'S DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FROM THE VEHICLE. CLAMPS OFF

WE CAN CO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING

1) LET'S SNATCH THE BATTERY OUT AND TAKE IT TO A POPULAR PARTS STORE. FOR TESTING

2) IF YOU WANNA TRY THIS. ONE LAST TIME BEFORE YOU SNATCH IT OUT. CHARGE IT FULLY WITH THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED
. THEN RE-CONNECT IT

YOUR COMPUTER WAS STILL SENSING LOW VOLTAGE FROM IT GOING DOWN 1ST TIME

. NEEDED TO RESET MR. COMPUTER (DISCONNECT---INSTALL FULLY CHARGED BATTERY). YOU CHARGED IT, BUT DID NOT DISCONNECT IT. IT STILL THINKS YOU DON'T LOVE IT!

WHEN YOU GET IT GOING, STILL TAKE IT TO THE AUTO PARTS STORE FOR A FULL SYSTEM TEST (BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR). USUALLY THIS IS A FREE SERVICE. SEE MY 2ND PIC

.I'VE SEEN BRAND NEW BATTERIES BE DEFECTIVE. SO DON'T TELL ME YOU JUST GOT IT!

LEMME KNOW HOW IT GOES
